Touristy Shenanigans.

Fell behind posting. largely due to intestinal malfunction, but I'll get to that later...

On the 29th..
We went on a super touristy "duck tour," which was basically a boat that drove into the Singapore River and became a boat. Kind of like a transformer, without the cool emblem, roboty, weaponry. Just.. a car that is also a boat. So not really a transformer. never mind. Andd we also went on Singapore's version of the London Eye. They call it: Singapore Flyer! It's a huge observatory Ferris wheel. Here's a lovely pic of me and panda near the top with Singapore's financial district in the background.

In the evening, we ate Hainamese chicken rice! It was at some sketch underground (literally) restaurant. May not have been the cleanest place...








But! We found the heart of the chicken and shared it :)










Jan 30th.

We rode the MTR!! Crazy there's like 4 lines now. Back in the day, there were only 2. Guess Singapore has expanded a ton. During that duck tour, the lady said in the past 30 years, Singapore has expanded it's landmass by 40%. The population is at 5.8 million. The entire island is still smaller than Houston. Ridiculous. SOOO many people.




Met up with our cousin Suan. She's number 2 in cousin rankings. She had spent the past 3 years or so in Dubai. She's picked up Arabic and is quite the cultured cousin. Prettyy sweet. She wants to go into international development and poverty revitalization programs. Hurray!






Aaaanddd... amanda got another piercing.
